Is your TT position limiting your performance?
A low front end does not automatically make a fast position. If the setup restricts movement, creates excessive pressure or cannot be maintained at race intensity, it may cost more than it gains. A TT-specific fit may help if you experience:
- Numb or painful hands on rough tracks
- Neck, shoulder or lower-back discomfort
- Knee pain or uneven pedalling
- Saddle pressure, chafing or repeated shifting on the saddle
- A stretched, cramped or unstable riding position
- Reduced confidence when descending or riding technical terrain
- Discomfort that becomes worse on long rides or bikepacking trips
The aim is not to force you into a textbook position. It is to find a sustainable setup that supports comfort, efficient pedalling and predictable handling on the terrain you actually ride.
What is a TT bike fit?
A TT bike fit is a detailed assessment of your position around the saddle, pedals, arm pads and extensions. It considers mobility, race distance, equipment, contact points, pedalling movement and how effectively you can sustain an aerodynamic posture.
Unlike a conventional road fit, time trial fitting gives greater attention to pelvic rotation, hip clearance, pad stack and reach, extension setup and the balance between aerodynamic exposure and sustainable power.
What we assess and adjust
- Saddle height, fore-aft position and tilt
- Aero pad stack, reach, width and support
- Aero extension length, angle and hand position
- Base-bar position and overall cockpit setup
- Cleat position, foot alignment and pedalling stability
- Pedalling movement and left-to-right differences
- Hip angle, pelvic position and stability in the aero position
- Saddle choice and pressure distribution when required
- Cycling shoe fit, foot support and custom insole options
- Your ability to produce power while maintaining a sustainable aero position
- The demands of your target TT distance and race duration
How your Time Trial bike fit works
01. Understand
We discuss your riding, goals, injuries and discomfort, then assess how your body moves.
02. Measure
Motion analysis and hands-on testing show what is happening at your feet, saddle and handlebars.
03. Refine
We adjust, retest and explain each change, then give you measurements and support after the session.
- Understand the rider — We discuss your riding, events, typical terrain, injury history, current discomfort and what you want to improve.
- Assess your movement — A practical off-bike assessment helps identify mobility, stability or asymmetry that may influence your position.
- Record your starting position — Your current setup and riding movement are measured so changes can be made methodically rather than by guesswork
- Adjust and retest — Saddle, cockpit and cleat changes are made in stages. We reassess your movement and use your feedback after each meaningful adjustment.
- Refine the contact points — Where needed, we investigate saddle pressure, shoe fit or foot support to address the places where you meet the bike.
- Leave with a clear record — You receive your fitting data and recommendations, plus a free three-month follow-up assessment to check how the position is working in the real world.

Saddle discomfort on your gravel bike?
Gravel bike fitting FAQs
Yes. A time trial position changes pelvic rotation and upper-body support and places much greater emphasis on pad stack, pad reach, extensions and the ability to stay aero at race intensity.
A fit can help develop a position intended to reduce unnecessary frontal area while remaining sustainable. It is not a substitute for wind-tunnel or track aero testing, but it creates a strong functional starting position.
Yes. Forward pelvic rotation changes how the saddle is loaded. Saddle position is assessed and pressure mapping can be used where appropriate to investigate support, stability and pressure concentration.
.
Yes. Pad height, reach, width and support can be assessed alongside extension length, angle and hand position, within the adjustment range of the bike and relevant race regulations.

Ideally allow enough time for several training rides before an important race so you can adapt, test the position outdoors and use the follow-up if required.
